
Kerrygold had a strong presence at The Nantwich International Cheese
Show, the largest Cheese Show in the world set in beautiful Dorfold
Hall Park.
An estimated 33, 000 visitors were able to taste and buy the very
finest cheeses from all four corners of the world. There was over
154 Classes of cheese which covered everything from Stilton, to
Continental to Snacking classes.
Kerrygold were delighted to take part and even came away with a
few awards including an Industry Lifetime Award!
Here are some of the highlights:
» The Kerrygold Trophy (sponsored by The Kerrygold Company)
for the Best Irish Cheddar has been awarded to Wexford Creamery.
» The Kerrygold Company won Gold in Sliced Cheese Class with
Carbery Extra Mature Cheddar
» The Kerrygold Company won Silver in Sliced Cheese Class
» The Kerrygold Company achieved a ‘Very Highly Commendation’ in
Sliced Cheese Class

We were awarded the following in the Retail classes:
» Crumbly territorials - a Bronze award on behalf of
Co-Op
» Hard territorials - a ‘Very Highly Commendation’ on
behalf of Aldi
Our very own Richard Wagstaff, Cheese Grader, being awarded
with the Dairy Industry Lifetime Award for services to the
dairy industry presented by George Paul on behalf of the Nantwich
Show Committee.
There were a record number of entries this year, 2642. Amongst
the judges this year were David Smyth, Richard Wagstaff and
Simon Bourne.
