You may recall in our April 2007 edition that we introduced
our Green Champion Campaign. As a result we had a number of suggestions
on how we as a company can improve our carbon footprint; awards
go to the following for their suggestions and/or improvements made
within their working areas.
Pam Adams
Changes to working practices
within the Procurement area, purchase orders are now faxed on photocopy
paper rather than the usual heavier weight letterheads saving
on printing costs and the weight of paper (i.e. no of trees!) used.
Gordon Walsh
Recycling of plastic cups. Although not yet implemented,
recycle points will soon be available.
Gary Fergusson
‘Ride 2 Work’ scheme, which we are aiming to implement as part of our ‘Green
Travel Plan’ later this year.
