May Ray Levett retired at the end of 2007 following a career
in Sales and Marketing spanning some twenty-two years at Kerrygold.
Ray
held his farewell get together at Leek Golf club on Thursday evening
17th January 2008 where he was joined by many current and former
colleagues.
Managing Director, Carl Ravenhall, presented Ray with a golf trolley bought
from proceeds of a collection and acknowledged Ray’s excellent achievements
and thanked him for his contribution to the business over a number
of years.
Ray joined the Company in June 1985 as Catering National
Account Manager, was promoted to National Field Accounts Manager before being
persuaded to take on the role of National Accounts Manager in 1988 where
he took on the responsibility for managing our Tesco Account. At
this time their Cuffley cheese packing plant was transferred to
Barnfields and over a number of years, with the addition of grated
and slices Ray has played a significant role in developing our
trading relationship to its current position.

Tesco’s
buyer, David Rowlands came along to hand Ray their prestigious
Values Award for which he had been nominated and approved;
only in exceptional circumstances is this accolade bestowed
on a supplier.
Ray,
a Wolverhampton Wanderers fan, is looking forward to
spending time walking and tending to his garden as well
as playing the odd round of golf.
We
wish Ray and his wife Jill a very long and happy retirement.
