Work is continuing preparing the foundation piles across
the site, despite some recent disruption caused by an underground
structure that was found around the area of a small basement we
had previously discovered.
After excavating the area we found the structure to be an Old Water
Filtration Tank covering an area of approx. 2000m3. This structure
is now being removed along with the basement, which will enable
the hole to be filled and the foundation piling to continue in
this area.
The pile cap reinforced cages have been fitted and concreted in
place around the footprint of the new Intake and Bulk Cheese Store,
further spot piling continues around the same area.

Steel
Work
Starting on the 10th September the first steels will arrive
on site for the first area of construction: the Bulk
Cheese Store. The construction of the main structural frames
will then continue into November.
Considering the recent issues we still remain optimistic
that the project will remain close to plan and be ready for
occupancy at the end of July 2008.
