The ILM (Institute of Leadership & Management) students presented their final projects on Wednesday 25th April 2007. The presentations mark the end of the 18 month course during which first line managers have attended a total of 10 workshops covering a range of different management topics.

Each student had to compile a final project based on an actual work-based challenge, the topics covered were:

Owen Teare: Integration of Processed Cheese Staff into the Natural Cheese Dept.
Sue Myers
: Continuous improvement on Line 17.
Darren Armstrong: Shift handovers: Reducing unproductive time to a minimum
Emma Kusznierski: Speeding up production changeovers on Line 1.
Chris Flint: Continuous improvement on Line 6.
Paul Buckley: Examine the Viability of a maintenance package.
Mick Redfern: Continuous improvement on Line 19.
Paul Lakin: Workplace procedures from inception to delivery.

.

Unfortunately, due to holiday, Wayne Bailey was unable to present his project on “Improving the safe and hygienic opening of packages” - but don’t worry Wayne we’ll arrange something for you!!
.

Congratulations

We would like to congratulate all of the students on their excellent presentations and thank all of those managers and mentors who supported them throughout the course.

Of course, a big thank you must go to Tim Hancox for delivering the workshops and working closely with the students to ensure success.
